FAQ
What does pro rata mean in a job advert?
The salary shown is for full-time hours. You'll be paid in proportion to the hours you work: 22.5 hours of a 37.5-hour week is 0.6 FTE, so £35,000 pro rata pays £21,000.
Do part-time workers get less holiday?
Statutory holiday is 5.6 weeks for everyone, so it's pro rata in days: 3 days a week gives 16.8 days a year.
